Bruce Springsteen River Collection 003
Bruce Springsteen River Collection 003
What would “The River Collection,” made available this year by Rock Photographer Jim Shive, be without an image including the one, the only, Clarence “Big Man” Clemons? Just like the Big Man himself, this one does it with style and class. Noted for another of his images used to memorialize the late, great E Street saxophonist in “Rolling Stone Magazine” 2011, Jim made this photograph on film on New Year’s Eve, 1980, upon the release of Bruce’s “The River” album.
Now 35 years later, Jim’s noted, rare images like this one – with the ever-faithful Clarence guarding Bruce’s back, saxophone clearly in hand – are even more meaningful with the passage of time. Never before has this image been offered and now only 100 copies are being made available to you and fans of Bruce, Clarence and the entire E Street Band everywhere.
